About MEN TALK TOO

MEN TALK TOO was created to give men a space where they can talk openly, feel heard and be met without judgement. Many men struggle with stress, anxiety, low mood or relationship difficulties but find it hard to reach out. The pressure to stay silent can leave you feeling isolated, lost or overwhelmed. Too often, many men feel they are left to carry it alone.

In the UK, men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women, yet only a fraction access talking therapies. The stigma around men’s mental health is still holding people back. MEN TALK TOO exists to change that.

My name is John, and I am the founder and lead counsellor for MEN TALK TOO. I am a qualified humanistic counsellor who has worked with many men over the years. I have supported clients through everything from work stress and fatherhood struggles to identity questions and relationship breakdowns. I understand how hard it can be to ask for help, because I have been there too. My belief in the power of open, non-judgemental conversation is grounded in both personal and professional experience.

I offer one-to-one counselling for men in Brighton and Hove, and online throughout the UK. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, this is a space to make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.

Sessions are shaped around you. I work in an integrative way, drawing on different  approaches to support you in gaining awareness, clarity and reaching your full potential.

If you are struggling, you are not alone. Please get in touch if you would like to book a session or have any questions.

Sessions, fees and availability

Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £60. I work with adults aged 18 and over.

I offer counselling in person in Brighton, with my practice located next to Preston Park station, as well as online sessions via Google Meet. This allows some flexibility in how we work together, depending on what feels most accessible for you.

I recognise that cost can sometimes be a barrier. A limited number of concessionary spaces are available and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
